Vision & Mission
We believe that artificial intelligence will deliver the next chapter in human evolution, transforming how we live, work, and interact with technology. Of our five human senses, vision is the one we rely on most. It's estimated that over 80% of our perception, learning, cognition, and activities are mediated through sight. Aspects of our visual intelligence system are rapidly being replicated by AI models, enabling accurate and efficient analysis and manipulation of visual content. Our goal is to harness these new computer vision capabilities to create original consumer experiences.
About us
We are a small, self-funded, multidisciplinary team focusing on the intersection of computer vision and consumer products. The team previously founded AddLive, a developer-focused real-time video and voice platform that was acquired by Snap Inc.
Products
Our first product is a fun photo app that lets users explore their camera roll in a novel way. The app employs an edge CLIP model with multiple classifiers trained on the CLIP embeddings. This allows us to serve users highly specific photos in a very generalisable manner. You can try the app here: www.backflip.app.
